Affordable Homes The Village Sage

The Housing Trust’s award-winning Village Sage apartments, completed in 2011, offer affordable, well-designed housing and stabilization services for low-income/special needs residents of Santa Fe. The rental community features 60 energy efficient units and integrates private backyards and balconies, semi-private patios, and shared courtyards. Dedicated open space, 1.75 acres, is located adjacent to the community house and accommodates nature trails, active recreation areas, demonstration gardens, and various types of public gatherings. Pedestrian circulation is central to the design concept with paths and sidewalks connecting to the Tierra Contenta Trail system, public transportation and commercial developments on Paseo del Sol. Primary funding for project construction was procured through the Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program.
